Multiple OS
What number of server Operating Systems will you be able to choose from?
Every personal computer or server is run by an Operating System - the low-level software which interacts with the hardware, including peripherals such as a mouse and a printer, and any applications that are currently installed on the system. Any program input using a command line or a Graphical User Interface (GUI) is processed by sending an Application Program Interface (API) request to the OS. On a web server, every single app runs within the parameters defined by the OS as well - priority, physical memory, processing time, etcetera. This goes for both standard website scripts and server-side software such as a media server. In case a virtual server is generated on a physical one, there can be two separate Operating Systems, called guest OS and host OS, which means that you'll be able to set up a different software environment on the very same machine.

Multiple OS in VPS Hosting
Our
virtual private server plans feature three Linux distributions which you can pick from for the Operating System of your new server - Debian, Ubuntu and CentOS. Apart from being 100 % free, the OSs are extremely stable and protected and the key reason to offer the 3 of them is to make sure that you can run any kind of application that you'd like, since different pieces of software have different requirements about the environment they can be used on. Each one of the three OSs is supported by a huge community of web developers who have made many hundreds of software packages which you can set up and use on your VPS. Depending on the Operating System which you select, you will also be able to choose between three different Control Panels to manage your website hosting content. Needless to say, in case you decide that you need another OS, we could always re-install the server with it. As a paid upgrade, we also offer weekly updates of the Operating System for optimum stability and security.

Multiple OS in Dedicated Web Hosting
We offer three Operating Systems with our
dedicated server solutions - CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian. They're all different Linux distributions and we offer them not only because they are freely available so they will not increase the price of your new web hosting server, but also because they are very secure and stable. Each one of them is supported by a vast community of developers, so you will be able to choose from many hundreds of software packages that you could install on your server in case the app that you intend to work with has certain requirements. The Operating System will also determine what internet hosting Control Panel you can use since the Control Panels that we offer run on specific OSs only and because we would like to give you as much flexibility as possible, we offer multiple OSs and multiple Control Panels. In case you get a server with a certain OS, we could change it upon request in case it turns out that you will need alternative one. We will also keep your OS updated weekly as part of the additional Managed Services upgrade.
